He has provided presentations at the American Academy of Orthopedic Surgeons meetings, and has been an international instructor and surgeon in such countries including Australia, South America, Belgium, Saudi Arabia, Egypt and Mexico. His passion is football at The Ohio State University but, more importantly, is extremely proud of his two daughters. The oldest is an internal medicine physician and the youngest, a registered nurse.
His favorite salutation is "GO BUCKS" and his lesson for life is "Press On".
Press On: "Nothing in the world can take the place of persistence. Talent will not; nothing is more common than unsuccessful men with talent. Genius will not; unrewarded genius is almost a proverb. Education alone will not; the world is full of education derelicts. Persistence and determination alone are omnipotent."
