Dr. Perry is the Medical Director of Laser Spine Institute. His responsibilities include overseeing medical operations, and ensuring compliance with regulation standards and certification standards. He also monitors quality assurance and provides ongoing education to staff members, as well as patients. Dr. Perry is a member of Laser Spine Institute‘s Board of Directors and its executive management team. In addition to his duties at Laser Spine Institute, Dr. Perry serves as a face of the company by organizing and presenting academic and informational seminars to the public and surgical conferences both domestically and internationally. He has written abstracts for many leading medical publications.
Dr. Perry is a native of Cambridge, Mass., and earned his B.A. degree from the University of South Florida in 1981. While at USF, he showed early promise by earning a mention in “Who‘s Who Among American Universities and Colleges.” In 1985, he graduated at the top of his class at St. George‘s University School of Medicine. He completed his internship and residency at Mount Sinai Hospital in Hartford, Conn.
Dr. Perry and his wife, Michelle, have three sons: Matthew and the twins, Sean and Joshua. Dr. Perry enjoys traveling, spending time with his family, and playing golf.
Dr. Burns brought his strong interpersonal skills and outstanding credentials to Laser Spine Institute‘s team in 2008. He became licensed to practice medicine in his native state of Florida in 2001, when he began to work as a staff physician at Helen Ellis Walk-in Clinic in Holiday, Fla. In 2003, he moved on to become an Associate at the Carson Family Care Center in Tarpon Springs, Fla., where he treated patients in hospitals, nursing homes, and in the office.
After earning his biology degree from Rollins College in 1993, Dr. Burns was awarded the prestigious Southern Medical Association Scholarship for superior academic performance and intellect. He earned his Doctorate of Osteopathic Medicine from Kirksville College of Osteopathic Medicine in 1998, and he fulfilled his internship and family medicine residency at Northside Hospital in St. Petersburg, Fla.
